This week I have been in Joburg South Africa for a workshop. Yesterday was my birthday and I knew nobody would celebrate me because I am away from home and all my loved once are back in Nairobi Kenya.Little did I know that my best friend had organized with one of my colleagues whom we are together with in Joburg to buy cake and surprise me. I was so happy. I have such a thoughtful friend. God bless her❤️What happened was, My friend had organized for this cake to be cut Yesterday 4-6-25 but I went to sleep early and my colleagues couldn’t get me out of my guest room to surprise me. They managed to surprise me at the breakfast table this morning and I really felt awesome. What blew my mind was that the person behind the surprise was my best friend who is back at home in Nairobi Kenya.

This book is a simple read. It’s possible to read the whole book in 1 hour BUT I would recommend reading one chapter per day and taking time to reflect on the lessons learnt from every chapter because as much as the writings seems ordinary, they hit differently when you read the book slowly and take time to meditate on the words of wisdom from the writer Haemin Sunim.

The last Chapter is my most favorite. In this chapter the writer gives gems on what to do when you are married or involved with people of different religion. He says if we could take time to study each other’s religion we would find out that all religions are just long-lost-cousins😆.

Again you can only get the most from this book when you read it on your own.

I would recommend this book to EVERYBODY of you😃you all need to learn the art of slowing down in this fast paced world.
