Matthew 9:21
“She said to herself, ‘If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.’”

Commentary
Sometimes, life can become a constant struggle. And worse, maybe they’re hidden struggles you can’t share with anyone. As soon as you are finished with one, another one arises, and so on. It can continue like that until we feel defeated. Yet, we know that we can’t just give up. Life must continue.

In Luke 8, we meet a woman who has had a discharge for 12 long years. Under the Levitical Law, a woman with a discharge would be unclean for as long as she had a discharge and then for seven days after that. But what if the discharge just never stopped … days into weeks … weeks into months … months into years … 12 years? We can’t even imagine the sad quality of life she had … unclean, lonely, and hidden away from everyone. Some people are living sad, hidden lives today, not because of a discharge, but because of their situations.

Three things happened that changed this woman’s life forever:
> She heard about Jesus – how He healed the sick, the lepers, cast out demons, and even raised the dead!
> She became fully persuaded that Jesus was the answer to her struggle,
> She seized her moment and reached out, touched just the hem of His garment.
And was healed!

Are you tired of fighting those battles alone?
You can do exactly what this poor suffering woman did:
Approach Jesus fully persuaded that He is able to help you, then touch Him in faith. He will forever be by your side as you fight your battles.
You will never walk alone again!

If you don’t know Jesus, receive Him into your heart today, then seize your opportunity and touch the hem of His garment in faith. Amen!

Prayer
Father, I pray today for all those who need deliverance from the hidden grip of the enemy. Whatever holds them captive doesn’t come from You. I pray for them with confidence, in the powerful name of Jesus, asking that You, O Father, the God of all creation, will break the evil bonds that hold them captive today. Amen!

Isaiah 40:31
“Those who wait on the LORD will renew their strength.”

Commentary
Those who belong to Christ know that they are weak and very limited in all possible ways: be it physical strength, mental capacity, wisdom, spiritual strength, and in every other way. The Israelites who first received this promise were worn out from their many hardships. They felt lost and neglected by God and complained.

God asked them:
‘Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD; my cause is disregarded by my God?” (Isa 40:27).
God isn’t offended by our cries to Him. The worst thing that we do is to turn to man instead of turning to our Father when life becomes difficult.

These words of Isaiah remind us who our God is and what He is able to do for us. In short, our God is able to come through for us each and every time. He is the everlasting God, Creator, Owner, and Sustainer of us and all things. He is the God who doesn’t grow weary or faint no matter how many times we go to Him for help.

Isaiah chapter 40 begins this way:
“Comfort, comfort My people, says your God. Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD’S hand double for all her sins” (Isa 40:1-2).
Do you find yourself completely without the strength to deal with whatever you face? Speak Isaiah’s words of faith to your heart:
“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak” (Isa 40:29).
Allow the confidence of knowing that the God of the universe is able and willing to handle all our problems keep us strong through the storms of our lives. We need to really believe deep within us that God sees and is with us in our struggles.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned” (Isa 43:2).

Prayer
Dear Father, we all know from our past that life on earth is full of trials and suffering. We know that You don’t always take all our trials away, even though You could. We pray O God that whenever we find ourselves in despair, we will not lose our faith in You, for You are so good Father. In Jesus’ name

That’s all for my day. How was yours?

Woke up at 5 a.m and went for a morning run.

Went to Kenya school of monetary studies which is a school run by my employer(I’m a banker by the way). The school has a field where we do our games activities. Currently we are doing inter-departmental games competition. Later from 2.8.25 to 20.9.25 we’ll be doing inter-bank games competition and what we are doing now will qualify who participates in the inter-banks competition

Our bank’s deputy governor came over to watch us play today and I asked to take a photo with him.

I played football today and Tomorrow I’ll participate in athletics. I’ll do 1500m run which involves running round the field 3times and I’ll also do 800m relay run which involves running at an electric speed round the field once and handing over the button for the next runner who does the same until the forth person has done the same.

On my drive home I bought sugarcane and snacked on. I love crisps but at 30 year old I realize metabolism goes lower and lower so I have been trying to substitute my unhealthy foods or snacks with healthy once.

Finally, I was privileged to see the sun prepare to set. The sun set and sunrise is always beautiful to see.
