At first thought, God’s will seems so oppressively restrictive and inferior that it is frightening. We get scared He will tell us to go somewhere awful or even do something embarrassing. To most of us, God’s ways looks so inferior, so limiting, so stupid and even so dangerous at times.
So we cleverly avoid seeking His will on most issues. Most of us are safe with just inviting Him to bless our already formed ‘wills’ or made decisions.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9
But then, the reality is that no one understands you like your Maker. No one knows your future like your God. No one has your best interest at heart like the One who shed his own blood for you.
No one can bring you happiness like the Inventor of sunsets, sight and sound, touch and taste, life and beauty. He alone offers heaven and has capacity to deliver it to you.
When you really analyze it, nothing could be more exciting, fulfilling and rewarding than God’s desires for you. Oh yes, just think of it!
Fearing God’s will is as irrational as worrying about what the world’s best mechanic might do to your car, and as stupid as insisting on defusing a bomb for fear that experts will not do it properly.
The Almighty, your Creator and Savior, is selflessly devoted to maximizing your happiness. Moreover he has infinite knowledge and infinite power.
When God asks you to do something, he is granting you the unique privilege of tapping into the greatest Mind in the universe.
Consider God’s infinite knowledge, perfect goodness, and self-sacrificing devotion to your highest good.
God’s will for you is not only perfected by infinite love, it is backed by infinite power. It is not only achievable, it is unstoppable.
Most likely against your already formed opinions and plans, have you sought for God’s specific will for your marriage, career, business, ministry and relationships?
Have you sincerely sought for and considered God’s ways of pursuing peace, justice, joy and fulfilment ?
Why not seek out His will and surrender to it ? And why not seek out His ways and follow them? They are far much superior than yours or any other.
Blessed day !
May his will be done

No one but God is able to meet all our needs. Not a spouse, children, BFF, job, ministry….
Let Him lead you on the path that He has chosen just for you.

We human beings are so funny at times, we seem to think the world revolves around us, when in fact, those of us who have humbly accepted His invitation to a relationship beyond anything we could ever even imagine is such an honor. Loved your post.

In most cases, What God will tell us to do might look very stupid. They needed wine, He told them to bring water but that is the answer.
